KUURNE - BRUXELLES - KUURNE

197 kms, 12 climbs, one winner. The season of the team Vini Zabù began in Belgium where the team directed by Francesco Frassi was at the start of the Kuurne - Bruxelles - Kuurne last February 28th after delaying the debut after the cancellation of several races in these first two months.

The leader of the team was Jakub Mareczko who looked in a good shape after the team training camp in Montecatini and now he was set to make his come back in the team who launched his career in 2015. The experience of riders like Marco Frapporti and Kamil Gradek was very important for "Kuba" while the young swissman Joab Schneiter and Davide Orrico were ready for the first race in career as professionals. The line up ended with Simone Bevilacqua and Etienne Van Empel, two riders that we have seen at the last Giro d'Italia, both ready to support their captain in this difficult race.

The Sports Director Francesco Frassi explained the team plans for the race: "Kuurne - Bruxelles - Kuurne is a beautiful race, an historical Classic and so it will be amazing to be at the start even if we know that it will be hard to achieve a result as many World Tour teams are here too. We want to understand our level even if we worked hard in the recent training camp, that means that the riders did a good job in the winter. We will try to catch the breakaway at the beginning of the race and at the same time we will work for Mareczko as we want to figure out how to move with a different captain trying to put him in the best condition to do his best from the beginning".
