GIRO DELL'EMILIA: VISCONTI AND GAROSIO, A DAY ON THE ATTACK

The great day of the team Vini Zabù - KTM is completed by the amazing team performance at Giro dell'Emilia won by Alexander Vlasov. Fast pace from the start and after 50 kms a breakaway went trought with Giovanni Visconti and Andrea Garosio among the eight escapees of the day. The attempt reached the maximum gap of 6'50" with the teams Astana and Trek who were starting to chase down as the race was getting close to Bologna with the difficult circuit of San Luca, to be repeated five times. Garosio and Visconti made a great team work and only Walsleben was able to keep their pace. With two laps to go Visconti was going solo but on the half of the climb Joao Almeida reached and distanced him. The siciliano rider ended in 9th place, achieving his best result of the season, with Garosio in 13th and the great team performance was confirmed by the 18th place of Lorenzo Rota and the 25th of Lorenzo Fortunato
