GIOVANNI VISCONTI HAS WON THE GIRO DELLA TOSCANA

Giovanni Visconti has chosen the best day to come back to the win in Italy joining the hall of fame of the Giro della Toscana.

An amazing performance for the siciliano rider, celebrated also by the head coach of the Italian Team Davide Cassani, and of the whole team Neri Sottoli - Selle Italia - KTM that has dominated his home race.

In the first part of the day we had Edoardo Zardini in the five riders breakaway, an attempt that has reached 5'30" of maximum gap before getting caught on the last climb on Monte Serra.

Giovanni Visconti, that knows perfectly this climb, was very smart in not following immediately the attack of Egan Bernal and Nikolay Cherkasov, bridging on them together with Pierpaolo Ficara on the top.

The four riders cooperated till the finish increasing their advantage on the chasers where we had well placed both Davide Gabburo and Simone Velasco.

Egan Bernal tried to anticipate the sprint but the 2019 Tour de France winner couldn't beat a great Giovanni Visconti that has claimed his 3rd win of the season, the 8th of the team Neri Sottoli - Selle Italia - KTM.
