GIRO D'ITALIA: DIFFICULT DAY IN TORTORETO

The Giro d'Italia has resumed this morning from Lanciano with some bad surprises as two teams had to withdraw following some positive tests to COVID 19.

The whole team Vini Zabù - Brado - KTM was cleared and our riders have been very active in the first half of the stage with Giovanni Visconti missing the breakaway for few metres, caught after a huge effort from team Groupama - FDJ.

The victory, under the rain, went to Peter Sagan with the siciliano rider who was our top finisher.

In the classifications of the Corsa Rosa Visconti is still in the 2nd place of the KOM classification while Marco Frapporti keeps the leadership in the intermediate sprints classification.

Tomorrow stage 11 will bring the riders from Porto Sant'Elpidio to Rimini after 182 kms almost flat with only one KOM of 4th category with 71 kms to go.
