GIRO D'ITALIA: MARCO FRAPPORTI AGAIN ON THE ATTACK

Team Vini Zabù - Brado - KTM again on the attack in this Giro d'Italia in the 6th stage from Castrovillari to Matera as Marco Frapporti joined again the breakaway like he did two days ago in the stage with finish in Villafranca Tirrena.

The bresciano rider has attacked few kms after the start together with Mattia Bais, James Whelan and Filippo Zana, an attempt who reached 8'55" of gap on the peloton.

In the second part of the stage the group reacted and the attackers were brought in just after the only KOM of the day, Galleria Millotta, with Frapporti who was chased with 20 kms to go.

In Matera Arnaud Demare won the sprint with Edoardo Zardini and Giovanni Visconti as our top finishers in a stage that didn't suit our riders.

Tomorrow stage 7 of the Giro d'Italia that is going to move to Puglia in Brindisi with 143 flat kms.
