GIRO D'ITALIA: GIOVANNI VISCONTI GETS CLOSE TO THE BLUE JERSEY

Another brave day for the team Vini Zabù - Brado - KTM has seen the captain Giovanni Visconti in the 9th stage of the Giro d'Italia from San Salvo to Roccaraso.

Extremely high pace in the first hour of racing as many riders tried to join the breakaway, with a group of eight riders moving forward on the bottom of Passo Lanciano, the first of the two categorized climbs won by Giovanni Visconti.

The points achieved from the siciliano rider weren't enough to getting the lead of the KOM classification as the last two mountains, Bosco di Sant'Antonio and the final climb of Roccaraso, were conquered by Ruben Guerreiro that has now 84 points, 8 more than Giovanni Visconti who was dropped on the second last KOM of the day.

Our top finisher was Edoardo Zardini with all the seven riders arrived to the finish before tomorrow's rest day.

The race will resume on tuesday with the Lanciano - Tortoreto
