TOUR DE HONGRIE: ZARDINI AND VISCONTI ON THE SPOTLIGHT IN THE QUEEN STAGE

Good performance by the team Neri Sottoli - Selle Italia - KTM that in the hardest stage of the Tour de Hongrie, with the uphill finish of Kekesketo, has placed Edoardo Zardini and Giovanni Visconti in the top 6 of the day.

After yesterday's experience the peloton didn't give any chance to the breakaway with the three escapees, Moricz, Per and Monk, who were caught at the bottom of the final climb.

The team directed by Luca Amoriello and Luca Scinto decided to set the tempo on the climb but on the steepest part the attack of the spanish Lopez shook up the situation.

Behind Lopez the chase was made by the GC leader Neilands, the hungarians Valter and Dina and our Zardini with Visconti who lost few seconds after the attack.

When Lopez was caught at the last km, it was Neilands who counterattacked leaving behind him Zardini, that suffered a flat tyre before the final climb, for his second win in this Tour de Hongrie.

Zardini, 4th, achieved his best result of this season, and Visconti was able to end in 6th place for a team performance that looks promising heading to the National Championships.

Tomorrow final stage, 168 flat kms, ideal ground for the sprinters
