EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

The head coach of the Italian National Team has selected Giovanni Visconti for the road race of the European Championships of Plouay.

For the siciliano rider this is the second call in a row after last september's World Championships of Harrogate.

"After the good performance at the Giro dell'Emilia, where I showed that my condition is growing, this call is great also for the mood. When Davide Cassani called me I was extremely happy, he knows what I can give to the team because of my experience in the years, as I rode six editions of the World Championships and one edition of the European Championships, and also my avalaibility. It's very important for me to be part of this group, this means that Davide and my team mates trust in me. We will have fun".

In Plouay the team Vini Zabù - KTM will have at the start also Liam Bertazzo, who will race the mixed relay the 28th of august, the serbian Veljko Stojnic, who will be racing the U23 race, and Jan Petelin with the jersey of Luxembourg
