SIBIU CYCLING TOUR

The team Vini Zabù - KTM is set to be back to racing after the suspension of the activity due to the pandemic of COVID 19 and the first race will be the Sibiu Cycling Tour, a stage race that in 2015 has seen the team of Angelo Citracca winning two stages and the final classification.

Ambitions and a lot of will for the six riders with the debut of Riccardo Stacchiotti who won the final stage in this race in 2019 edition and he will be supported in the sprints by Simone Bevilacqua and Luca Wackermann.

On the climbs we can count on Manuel Bongiorno and Matteo Busato, 5th in 2014, with Leonardo Tortomasi as an important man for the breakaways.

Francesco Frassi will be our sports director and these are his impressions about the new debut of the team

"It will be a strange feeling as in these months the world has changed and so cycling did. For me it will be like being on the team car for the first time, it will be a special emotion and at the same time it will be good to restart from a race where I've already been in the past and that has left me some good memories. The route is very interesthing and I'm sure that our riders will have some good chances as they worked hard during these months without losing the focus and this was possible also because our staff has always been in contact with them. I want to thank Angelo Citracca because he's always been close to us and we want to repay him with some important results".
